CR-4 Success Robotec Fair 2009
Five students were successful in UFRRJ robotec FAIR 2009 in Curitiba-PR, with an educational robotics project where any person could participate in the manipulation.
CR-4 The robot was developed by the Research Group Robotics & CR-4 in order to facilitate understanding of the biomechanical functions and basic principles of hydrostatics and robotics. The project had such prominence because of its easy operation and understanding, being operated during the fair for children from two years old to adults, no age restriction and also the low cost of installation, about $ 10.
GP & R CR-4 consists of four students of the Bachelor's Degree in Physics - Amauri Jr, Charles Gomes, Marcos Cristiano Greycon Rock - and a student of the Bachelor of Mathematics - Vinicius Nascimento. According to Marcos Cristiano
"People were amazed when they were informed of the cost and time of a week spent in making the CR-4 Robot."
"We received calls and even some very interesting proposals during the robotec FAIR" added Charles Gomes. To
Vinicius Nascimento "The most interesting part was when there was a fall of light and our robot CR-4, to forgo electronic parts, continued to operate as large and famous robots such as Actroid and Robocar, for example, were completely inert. "
"Suddenly our booth was full of the most fair," stated Greycon Rocha.
"I was very moved as a result, parents asked if the CR-4 would be available, we congratulated the initiative, some even say it was without a doubt the most interesting robot at the fair. The result was greater than expected, but was the result of a union and goodwill of people who actually take the subject seriously and robotics education. So we want to thank the support of UFRuralRJ, especially when Peter Paul Dean, Vice Dean and Ana Dantas, as well as the source, the event organizer who received us with great respect, and all who made FAIR robotec of an event as productive. "- finished by Amauri Junior.
